Ian Graeme is an actor, who is tired of the chaos. When his ex from high school, Wallace Dervy, sends him an email asking him to come home and promising to pick up where they left off, Ian goes. But things aren’t quite what they seem in his little hometown of Swanton.
Just when he thinks the dust has settled and there couldn’t be anything else besides Stryder, Malcolm, and the playhouse, he learns the true reason Wallace asked him to come back. It’s not Wallace’s fault really. The man can’t help it.
What secrets does Ian uncover, and just who will stand beside him when things don’t go right? Hmm. One hottie named Finn, who is the head of Alec’s security. Nothing like a slice of sizzlin’ warm who is devastating in a suit, and has the most gorgeous violet eyes, willing to protect you, even when you’re stubborn as hell and keep running away.
Just a little tease:
I went to shower, and when I walked out of the bathroom, Finn stood there with his arms folded over his chest. “Where are you going?”
“I need to eat, and to replace my clothes. Need to find someone, too.” I reached for the jeans on the bed, and Finn pulled them away. “What? I can go in my towel, but I’m not sure that’s legal.”
“You wouldn’t.” Finn arched a brow.
“Watch me.” I grabbed my wallet and phone, headed down the hall, and out the door.
I rounded the wall to the barn, and everyone stopped what they were doing to watch me. Finn caught up to me, and I ended up over his shoulder as he carried me to the SUV parked on the other side of the building.
“You are stubborn, Ian Graeme,” he said as he found his backpack in the backseat, and told me to be still.
“I can drive, you know. Both SUVs Mike brought are mine,” I said. “There’s the little grill down the road and I hear they have good burgers.”
He found a pair of jeans then, thrusting them at me as he glared.
“What is this look?” I set my stuff down and dropped the towel as I stood.
“IAN!” he yelled and Dad cackled from the barn.
Finn has his work cut out for him, doesn’t he?
