Now, what you don’t find out in book 1 is that they are Scots who settled in Tennessee before the Revolutionary war, and still follow clan law.
Now, the Downs and Graysons are special. Matilda was mama to most, and she has a slew of sons, all with that smooth warm brown skin and strange blue eyes.
See, Matilda was the Miann Cridhe for two men, not just one. And what is Miann Cridhe? Well, it’s heart’s desire.
And you’ll notice, some of these last names would sound better with Mac in front, but well, you can only have the Mac if you’re in charge of that family.
